to honor businesses who demonstrate a commitment to a drug-free
workplace. A Drug Free Business of the Year will
be awarded.

All Star Dinner: The top Drug Free All Stars will be honored with a
fajita dinner and a chance to receive scholarships.
March
Alcohol Policy Forum: Area business leaders, law enforcement, social services and many others assemble to talk about the issues of underage drinking. Speakers from the local and state level present information on the latest trends.
May
Shattered Dreams: A mock wreck scene at a high school will help
students see the
consequences of drinking and driving.

County All Star Scholarships are awarded and Drug Free All Star
selection for the following
school year.

Family Day at the Ellen Trout Zoo: Great food and lots of children’s
activities all to encourage families to eat dinner together
regularly as a way to prevent
substance abuse.
October
Red Ribbon Week & Drug Free Jamboree and Fun Run: The celebration of a drug-free lifestyle is kicked off with a fun run at the zoo. Businesses adopt schools and decorate with red ribbons. Schools have weeklong activities. The highlight is the Drug Free Jamboree with fun carnival activities and entertainment for children.
