PARTNERSHIPS
The Coalition focuses its efforts on environmental change in the community and as a result, formed two community partnerships: the Drug-Free Business Partnership and the Family Friendly Festivals Partnership. Both groups work towards environmental change in our community that can help to eliminate the use of harmful substances and foster healthy life-long choices for the residents of Angelina County.
DRUG-FREE BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP
The Drug-Free Business Partnership is a committee of The Coalition that works to rid our companies and the community of drug and tobacco use. Through the concern of area leaders and company representatives, the DFBP was formed to offer assistance to create a drug-free and tobacco-free work environment. The benefits of a drug-free and tobacco-free workplace have been demonstrated in terms of increased productivity, greater safety, and increased morale of all workers.

FAMILY FRIENDLY FESTIVALS
The Family Friendly Festivals Partnership is a committee of The Coalition that works with local event organizers to ensure restrictions on the availability and use of alcohol. Preventing underage drinking is a priority of The Coalition and research has shown that one of the most effective ways to reduce underage drinking is to focus on the policies and enforcement of alcohol at community events. Restrictions on the availability and use of alcohol at public events can effectively deter our youth from alcohol consumption.
