This is Quitting

The Coalition is proud to partner with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Truth Initiative to offer This Is Quitting to Texas young people ages 13-24. Youth can text VAPEFREETX to 88709 to receive free, anonymous, 24/7 support through this program. Parents of young vapers can text QUIT to 202-899-7550 to receive messages designed specifically for them, including tips and advice for helping to support their young person quit. “We know from recent local surveys that e-cigarettes are an issue for the youth in East Texas. Our hope is that through this partnership with MDAnderson and the Truth Initiative, we can give our teens and young adults a resource to help them quit their nicotine addiction,” Executive Director, Sharon Kruk, said.

Are you a parent of a young person who vapes? You can text QUIT to (202) 899-7550 to sign up to receive text messages of support, including tips and advice for helping to support your youth to quit.

Looking to quit vaping, but not sure where to start? Youth and young adults can use #ThisIsQuitting, a text-to-quit vaping service that offers free, anonymous support. Text VAPEFREETX to 88709 to join the nearly 250,000 young people already using TIQ.
