All-Stars Meet with East Texas Cancer Alliance of Hope

Updated: Mar 3, 2022

The Drug-Free All Stars of Angelina County, funded by a grant from TxDOT, recently held their first meeting of the Spring semester. The Drug Free All-Stars are a group of high school seniors from Angelina County schools that serve as role models for the community by living tobacco, drug, and alcohol free. For their January meeting, the Drug-Free All Stars met with Ashley Berry, founder of East Texas Cancer Alliance of Hope. Ashley is a previous Drug-Free All Star and talked to the students about what knowledge she gained as the founder of a local non-profit and the importance of following your passion as the students consider their next steps as they get closer to graduation. Special thanks to Ashley for taking the time to meet with our All Stars.
