Drug-Free All Star Scholarship Recipients

This year, with the help of community sponsors, The Coalition presented scholarships to the top six Angelina County Drug-Free All Stars. These students were selected for their commitment to promoting a drug-free lifestyle to their community and their involvement in the program throughout the year. Drug-Free All Stars selected to receive a scholarship were Nillah Alexander, graduate of Lufkin High School; Garin Ashby, graduate of Lufkin High School; Jade Beauchamp, graduate of Diboll High School; Sitlalli ‘Tia’ Davis, graduate of Lufkin High School; Shawni Poindexter, graduate of Diboll High School; and Jada Salaiz, graduate of Diboll High School. Thank you to the community partners who made these scholarships possible. Community donors include: Abeldt’s Pharmacy; Bartlett, Baggett, & Shands; Charanza Law Firm; Contractor’s Supplies; East Texas Asphalt; KSWP-KAVX; Southside Bank; Judge Wes Suiter and Dr. Cheryl Suiter, Pineywoods OB/GYN; and Whataburger/GVCS. We are proud of what our All Stars accomplished this year and look forward to their future achievements.

Since 1988, The Coalition has focused on eliminating the use of harmful substances by affecting public policy, laws, attitudes and behaviors, all in an effort to foster healthy life-long choices for the local community.
